Race 1: The Cruiser @ Camden County College

Jefferson Dr & Roosevelt Dr E, Gloucester Twp, NJ 08081

Sunday, April 10th, 2022

In partnership with the Township of Gloucester and the College, this venue rocks! Expect tight, twisty single track flow with a healthy dose of roots and punchy climbs to keep racers honest. Home of the Challenger MASS Series Race, the Blackwood Little Bellas Chapter and our very own Gloucester Gladiators and Camden County MTB Crew Composite Teams.

Race Notes:

  • Online Pre-Registration: Online registration for this race closes Tuesday, April 5 at 11:59pm. Registration will be available on race weekend, however only pre-registered riders will be included in the call-up list. Anyone who registers onsite during the race weekend will start at the back of their field.
  • Petitions for Category Placement: Those petitioning for exceptions to the category placement must do so by Friday, April 1st at 5:00pm. Access the petition form here.
  • Your Race Plate: Race plates will be distributed to head coaches on Saturday and Sunday. Students who do not have a plate can check in with registration after speaking to their head coach. These chip timing number plates will be used for the entire season, please do not lose them.
  • Check out the parking plan for details on where to park at this venue.
  • We hope you can join us for the Adventure ride on Saturday at 11am. Check out the flier for more info.
  • Grilling is allowed in the Pitzone at this venue. Please be sure to follow safe grilling practices and have a fire extinguisher on hand.
  • Course Open for Pre-Riding: Saturday 3-5pm & Sunday 7:30-8:30am
  • Foodtruck: Glover’s Grill, an NJ NICA favorite, will be serving us deliciousness for breakfast and lunch.

Race 2: Camp Edge Classic

Camp Edge: Camp Edge Road, Alloway, NJ 08001

Sunday, April 24th, 2022

Camp Edge is a truly wonderful race venue. The course is approximately 60% twisty single track, with short punchy climbs and a really amazing infield. Spectators will enjoy the ample opportunities to see racers throughout the course. We are so happy to partner with Camp Edge to offer the NJICL a truly unique race weekend.

Registration will be available on race weekend, however only pre-registered riders will be included in the call-up list. Anyone who registers onsite during the race weekend will start at the back of their field.
  • Petitions for Category Placement: Those petitioning for exceptions to the category placement must do so by Friday, April 15th at 5:00pm. Access the petition form here.
  • Your Race Plate: You should have received your 2022 race plate from your coaches. These plates are very durable and have a transponder on the backside; you will use them for the entire season. We suggest that you remove the plate before putting your bike on your car rack to prevent loss. Replacement number plates will be available at the registration tent for $20.

Race 3: Chester Challenge

Highlands Ridge Park: 50-120 North Road, Chester, NJ 07930

Sunday, May 15th, 2022

Beautiful vistas and a great mix of fun single and double track will be greeting us at Highlands Ridge Park. The grounds surrounding the venue used to be the home of AT&T’s Bell Labs. Be sure to check out the telephone pole farm by the entrance. The race lap is 2.5 miles long with 220 feet of climbing, and it’s definitely a venue that will reward physical fitness.

Race 4: Lewis Morris Mania

Lewis Morris Park: Sunrise Lake Drive, Morristown, NJ  07960

Sat – Sun, May 21st – 22nd, 2022

Lewis Morris Park is a popular mountain biking destination and no stranger to competition, having been the home of Marty’s Lewis Morris Challenge for many years. The race loop is 2.75 miles long with 300 feet of climbing, and a mix of 1/3 double track, 2/3 sweet flowing single track. Definitely some extra fun stuff to look forward to!

Race 5: Quick Slick Six

Six Mile Run: 62 Jacques Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873

Sat – Sun, June 4th – 5th, 2022

The NICA course features a fun mix of twisty, punchy single track and power-on stretches of double track. Not a huge amount of climbing (only around 250’ per lap), but definitely enough for you to feel a good sting in your legs.
